Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
In 2018 Canadian Defence Lawyers established a Diversity and Inclusion Committee to help guide CDL’s internal growth and to help shape educational and resource offerings for members.
The Committee’s Accomplishments Include:
- Stewardship of the D&I Fund, used to provide low and no-cost DEI focused Continuing Legal Education.
- Industry Leadership including CDL’s early support of the Law Society of Ontario, Good Governance Slate of Benchers (2023).
- Providing leadership development opportunities for members from equity seeking communities, resulting in the Election of CDL’s Most Diverse Board of Directors (2024).
