If you’ve ever thought about volunteering for CDL, there’s no better time than now! Whether you choose to volunteer to gain leadership opportunities, build your resumé, increase exposure for you and your firm, or give back to the industry, your willingness to share your time and expertise are needed to help support the ongoing growth and development of CDL across Canada. CDL’s goal is to have volunteers that represent the diversity and experience of Canada's insurance defence community. We welcome motivated and enthusiastic people who enjoy contributing to the vitality and ongoing development of our organization. You probably already know a CDL volunteer in your province who can share their CDL experience with you.

Maximize the value of your CDL membership. Volunteering with CDL can easily fit in with your busy schedule – you can be as involved as your time permits. Here are some of the opportunities that may interest you:

Click here for more information about how Board members are selected. The CDL Board strives to be a policy governance board that governs strategically by focusing on the future, allocating a majority of time on issues with long-term impact for CDL. Board members must understand and promote CDL’s purpose and understand the challenges facing the defence bar. The CDL Board reflects our geographic diversity to ensure adequate national representation.
