Overview of Privacy Rights, Privacy Regulation and Coverage
In an eight-part webinar series kicking off October 28, 2021, CDL is offering a deep dive into the nature of privacy claims, countries in which they may originate, tips on defending violations of privacy rights and the degree to which these claims are insured. This series will be valuable to anyone, experienced and inexperienced with an interest in what is likely to be a burgeoning area of practice in the next five years. Invitations are out to presenters, and we will update the dates of each session upon learning their availability.
Part One: October 28, 2021: Whirlwind Overview of the Nature Privacy Rights, How Privacy Rights are Regulated in Canada, the United States and the EU, and the ability to obtain insurance coverage to protect against liability under Canadian and foreign law for the infringement of privacy rights.
