Usage of the CDL Communities implies your acceptance of this AUP.
1. The on-line Communities forum is limited to matters of interest to members of Canadian Defence Lawyers. Questions and information should be directly related to the purpose of this association. Do not forward jokes, chain letters, political commentary, commercial or self-promotional posting, or other unrelated information. Personal attacks, put-downs, and swearing are not acceptable. Double entendres, humor, cynicism, or slang usage should be used only with great caution. Do not post material that can be considered unlawful, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, profane or otherwise objectionable in any way.
If another person posts a comment or question that is off the subject, do NOT reply to the posting and keep the off-subject conversation going publicly.
2. Use a subject line in your posting. Make sure the title is clear, concise and descriptive referring both to your province and the specific information request.
3. Only post your reply if you feel it is appropriate for all subscribers to read your response. Consider that it may be better to respond by contacting the sender directly.
4. Include your name, telephone number and email address at the end of your message so that other members will know who you are and can contact you directly if appropriate.
5. Do not assume confidentiality in any discussion.
6. You must not post or transmit any information or software which contains a virus, trojan horse, worm, or other harmful component.
7. Your redistribution, electronically or otherwise, of the material posted by other members is not permitted without the express written permission of that member. You must not forward any Communities postings to non-members.
8. CDL reserves the right to edit or delete all posted messages it considers inappropriate, or to deny access to the Communities to anyone who violates these terms and conditions.
9. Users of the CDL Communities must comply with all provincial and federal copyright, trademark and patent laws and regulations.
CDL accepts no responsibility for the opinions and/or information posted on or through its Communities. You agree to defend, indemnify and hold CDL harmless from and against any damages arising out of or resulting from your online conduct in a CDL Community. The purpose of this CDL Community is to promote sharing of information in the interest of the civil defence bar, the public interest, and the better administration of justice.
