Concussions are a major public health problem in Canada. Canadians generate many concussions and not everyone recovers. Dr. Tator will cover what is currently known about concussions in terms of diagnosis and treatment. The important consequences of concussion will be described including second impact syndrome, post concussion syndrome which includes mental health disorders and brain degeneration known as chronic traumatic encephalopathy or CTE
